Cabin break-in suspect makes bail
One of the men arrested in connection to a series of cabin break-ins in the Placentia area made bail earlier this week.
Chad Stephen Clarke was released on personal recognizance and a surety at provincial court in Harbour Grace on Aug. 24.
The 22-year-old is facing nine counts of break and enter and single-count charges of arson, theft of a motor vehicle and failure to comply with an undertaking.
Clarke was the second suspect arrested in connection to the break-ins. Damian Roy Brewer is the other. Brewer is facing identical charges, plus a single count charge of possession of stolen property.
The break-ins took place in late May at cottages between Placentia and Colinet.
Clarke will next appear in Harbour Grace on Sept. 2.
