BUTT, Vin­cent J. - Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Mon­day, Septem­ber 21, 2015, Vin­cent J. Butt of Car­bon­ear, age 70 years. Pre­de­ceased by fa­ther: Henry; par­entsin-law: Isaac and El­iz­a­beth Nor­man; sis­ters-in-law: Betty and Lorna. Left to mourn, wife: Iris; daugh­ter: Lynn (Trevor) Fil­lier, St. Phillips; sons: Trevor, Cal­gary, AB and David (Melissa), Car­bon­ear; four grand­chil­dren: Brooke, Claire, Nolan and Mal­lory; mother: So­phie, Car­bon­ear; brother: Herb (Sue), Car­bon­ear; sis­ter: Mar­i­lyn Butt, Par­adise; broth­ers-in-law: Fred, Bill (Ina), John (Karen), Ike (Ma­rina) and Lewis (Sue); sis­ters-in-law: Myra ( Jesse, de­ceased) and Bev­erly (Calvin); also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Wa­ter Street, Car­bon­ear. Rev. Brian Col­bourne con­ducted the Fu­neral ser­vice on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 24 from Noel’s Me­mo­rial Chapel, Car­bon­ear. OATES, Trent - Passed sud­denly away at St. John’s on Tues­day, Septem­ber 22, 2015, Trent Oates of Car­bon­ear, age 40 years. Pre­de­ceased by grand­par­ents: Tom and Molly Oates; Ralph and Mil­dred Pike. Left to mourn, par­ents: Bill and Clara, Car­bon­ear; three broth­ers: Trevor and Todd (Char­lene), both of Har­bour Grace; twin brother: Travas, St. John’s; niece: Ash­ley; nephew: James; also a num­ber of aunts, un­cles, cousins and other rel­a­tives and friends. VATERS, Pamela (nee Sparkes)

It is with great sad­ness that the fam­ily of Pamela Vaters an­nounces her pass­ing at the age of 57 af­ter a long brave bat­tle with COPD. Pam passed away peace­fully at home with her fam­ily by her side on Sept 4, 2015. Pam was a de­voted and lov­ing wife, mother, grand­mother, daugh­ter, sis­ter and aunt. Pam was pre­de­ceased by her mother Trixie, fa­ther Reuben and brother Randy.

Pam’s beau­ti­ful spirit will be lov­ingly re­mem­bered for­ever by her hus­band Aubrey, daugh­ters April, Robin and Cindy, sonin-laws Charles and Rob, grand­chil­dren Kira and Joshua, sis­ters Linda and Lori, brother Todd as well as many nieces, neph­ews and friends.
