Getting the stadium ready
The S.W. Moores Memorial Stadium in Harbour Grace is just about ready for hockey. Once the Trinity Conception Fall Fair concluded a couple of weeks ago, work began on making ice. That included the sometimes mundane task of painting the ice. While the lines and circles have to be done by hand, putting layers of white paint down is aided by this machine, which sprays multiple streams of the water-based paint over the surface. Here, stadium manager Mike Adam gets his hands dirty in putting a layer of white paint on one of the first layers of ice. That cloud on the bottom is the paint being sprayed.
