Bay Roberts Girl Guides recently made dresses to send to girls in Guatemala. Grandmothers, friends and ladies from a local quilting guild brought their sewing machines to a Girl Guide meeting in January and helped the girls make 29 pillow case dresses. Lori Fost, who has travelled on missions to Guatemala, came to a meeting earlier this month to tell the girls about her work there. She will be taking the dresses, along with a hockey bag filled with much-needed supplies that the Girl Guides are donating, with her on her next mission to Guatemala to distribute to local children and their families.
