Mul­ti­ple ar­rests made in CBN thefts

Car­bon­ear — Four peo­ple were ar­rested last Tues­day in con­nec­tion to a se­ries of crimes where items were stolen from ve­hi­cles. At this point, they’re not fac­ing any theft re­lated charges, but all four are ac­cused of pos­sess­ing stolen prop­erty. Trin­ity Con­cep­tion RCMP ex­e­cuted a search war­rant at a home in Spa­niard’s Bay and re­port­edly re­cov­ered “a large quan­tity of stolen items.” Brent Harold Cran­ford, 23, is also charged with breach­ing pro­ba­tion. He was re­leased from cus- tody fol­low­ing an ap­pear­ance in Har­bour Grace pro­vin­cial court last Wed­nes­day. His next sched­uled ap­pear­ance is April 6. A pair of 18-year-old males from Har­bour Grace and Bay Roberts are also charged with pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited weapon, as is a - 17-year-old male. All three were re­leased from cus­tody and will ap­pear in court at a later date. Trin­ity Con­cep­tion RCMP have in­ves­ti­gated 13 rel­e­vant com­plaints, most of which came from Spa­niard’s Bay. Two were made in Bay Roberts, and an­other in North River.
