Choosing to delay the parade after weather proved to be miserable the previous Saturday, Dec. 10 was an ideal day for residents to leave their homes and watch floats and dancers moves along Water Street before proceeding to the parking lot of Ascension Collegiate.

The weather was good news for parade participants, many of whom sported cheerful smiles to match their cool outfits.

The Compass picked a fine spot on Water Street to snap a few photos.

These girls from Vanda Maunder Dance Studio showed off some fancy moves with hoops.

This bear riding in an Avalon North Wolverines Search and Rescue boat was sporting a cool look at the parade in Bay Roberts.

Atlantic Grocery Distributors had a bit of fun with one of their trucks, dressing it up to look like a snowman.

This trike was loaded up with colourfully wrapped gifts.
