Car­bon­ear man ac­cused of prac­tis­ing medicine with­out a li­cense

Po­lice have charged a Car­bon­ear man for al­legedly prac­tis­ing medicine with­out a li­cense and un­law­fully ad­ver­tis­ing his ser­vices.

Charges were laid against Joshua Chubbs, 23, Feb. 20, and his first ap­pear­ance at Har­bour Grace Pro­vin­cial Court is sched­uled for April 12. Those charges have not been read in court.

Chubbs is charged un­der the Med­i­cal Act of New­found­land for en­gag­ing in med­i­cal prac­tice with­out a li­cense from June 1 to Oct. 15, 2016. He’s also ac­cused of ad­ver­tis­ing those ser­vices from Dec. 1-16.
