Bay Roberts chase the ace

For the Bay Roberts Cul­tural Foun­da­tion, is held at the Bay Roberts Le­gion be­gin­ning 7 p.m. Ticket sales end at 8:45 and the draw takes place at 9 p.m. This week’s es­ca­lat­ing jack­pot is es­ti­mated to be at $11,000. There is a 50/50 draw at the end of the evening.

New Hope Al-ANON

Meets every Tues­day 7:30 p.m. at the U-Turn Ad­dic­tions Cen­tre in Car­bon­ear, at 46 Pow­ell Drive. A 12-step re­cov­ery pro­gram for rel­a­tives and friends of al­co­holics.

Wednesday NAR-ANON

The Trin­ity Con­cep­tion NARANON Fam­ily Group of­fers a 12step pro­gram de­signed to help rel­a­tives and friends of ad­dicts re­cover from the ef­fects of their ad­dic­tion.

We al­ways main­tain per­sonal anonymity. Meet­ings Wednesday nights, 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the U-Turn Ad­dic­tions Cen­tre, 46 Pow­ell Drive, in Car­bon­ear. For in­for­ma­tion, call 786-1797 after 5 p.m.

Mu­seum and gallery

The Road to Yes­ter­day Mu­seum and the Christo­pher Pratt Gallery in the Ca­ble Build­ing, Water Street, Bay Roberts, open 2-4 p.m. Wed­nes­days only. Spe­cial tours can be ar­ranged by ap­point­ment and pay­ment of the pre­scribed fee.

New­found­land and Labrador Laubach Lit­er­acy Coun­cil is of­fer­ing an op­por­tu­nity to im­prove reading, speaking and com­pre­hen­sion (in English) in a con­fi­den­tial and con­ve­nient way from home for FREE us­ing the TOTI Vir­tual Teach­ing pro­gram!
