Cres­cent Col­le­giate wrestlers bring home 10 medals

Cres­cent Col­le­giate’s wrestling team was joined by stu­dent ath­letes from four other ar­eas to rep­re­sent New­found­land and Labrador at the At­lantic Cham­pi­onships on March 25.

The cham­pi­onships were held in Prince Ed­ward Is­land, and five dif­fer­ent teams were in at­ten­dance to rep­re­sent New­found­land and Labrador – Blake­town, St. John’s, Avon­dale, She­shat­shiu and Port aux Basques.

There were 130 com­peti­tors at the event, and Cres­cent Col­le­giate, a school in South Dildo, had 10 of their wrestlers awarded with medals.

Owen War­ren, Blake Ped­dle and Lo­gan Drover were the three gold medal win­ners.

Sil­ver medals were given to Brady Bar­rett, Tyler Pitcher, Emily Tem­ple and Lu­cas Clarke.

An­thony John­son, Bran­don Mercer and Jor­dan Pitcher each won a bronze medal.

Ethan Clarke, Josh Cumby, Mitchell Cox and Braden Clarke placed fourth in their di­vi­sions.
