Car­bon­ear man ar­rested for drug traf­fick­ing obit­u­ary

Har­bour Grace RCMP ar­rested a 31-year-old Car­bon­ear man Satur­day, April 1 fol­low­ing the ex­e­cu­tion of a search warrant on a res­i­dence.

BUT­TON, Marsha Lynn

– It is with heavy hearts that the fam­ily of Marsha Lynn But­ton an­nounces her un­ex­pected pass­ing, which oc­curred at home on Fri­day, March 31, 2017. Born in Saint John on Jan­uary 15, 1974, she was a daugh­ter of the late Elias and Mar­garet (Toole) But­ton. Marsha was a beau­ti­ful, youth­ful soul who loved her fam­ily and hav­ing fun. Be­fore mov­ing back to Saint John last year, Marsha en­joyed her life liv­ing in­de­pen­dently in Trin­ity Bay, NL, work­ing at A&W and par­tic­i­pat­ing in her com­mu­nity. She was very proud of her in­volve­ment with the Spe­cial Olympics Tri-Con Gen­tle Gi­ants team in Car­bon­ear. She en­joyed lis­ten­ing to coun­try mu­sic and show­ing off her line danc­ing moves. Watch­ing Star Trek, go­ing to Rock­wood Park from the home. The man is fac­ing charges of pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing.

He has been re­leased from cus­tody and is sched­uled to ap­pear in Har­bour Grace pro­vin­cial court on June 14. to feed the ducks and horses, and cheer­ing for the Saint John Sea Dogs also brought her great joy. Marsha will be deeply missed by her sis­ters: Amanda Berthiaume and Rachel Per­ron (Rick); her un­cle Bernie Toole; and her beloved nieces and nephew, Zachary and Vic­to­ria But­ton and Meghan and Kat­lyn Landry; a great niece, Hallee; as well as all those whose lives she’s touched through­out her life. Rested at Bre­nan’s Fu­neral Home, 111 Par­adise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A cel­e­bra­tion of Marsha’s life was held on Wed­nes­day, April 5, 2017 from Cal­vary Tem­ple, 83 Sydney St. Saint John. A pri­vate in­ter­ment took place at Cedar Hill Ex­ten­sion.
