Bay Roberts library volunteer honoured for dedicated service
On May 8, members and guests of the Bay Roberts Public Library Board celebrated the contribution of Carol Jenkins.
Carol was treasurer with the board for 27 years before retiring from the position in April.
Carol received greetings from the Provincial Information and Library Resources Board and from the MHA for Harbour Grace-Port de Grave Pam Parsons. Bay Roberts Mayor Philip Wood made a presentation on behalf of the town and thanked Carol for her years of volunteer service.
The Bay Roberts Public Library is a community resource offering free Internet access, Wi-Fi, and computer sessions to residents. Knowledgeable librarians are ready to assist with finding material and accessing government services, the e-library, and material held in other libraries across the province.
The library is located on Cross Road and is open Tuesday to Saturday, as well as on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Feel free to drop into the library and speak to the librarian or to call the library at 709-786-9629.
