Bay Roberts li­brary vol­un­teer hon­oured for ded­i­cated ser­vice

On May 8, mem­bers and guests of the Bay Roberts Pub­lic Li­brary Board cel­e­brated the con­tri­bu­tion of Carol Jenk­ins.

Carol was trea­surer with the board for 27 years be­fore re­tir­ing from the po­si­tion in April.

Carol re­ceived greet­ings from the Pro­vin­cial In­for­ma­tion and Li­brary Re­sources Board and from the MHA for Har­bour Grace-Port de Grave Pam Par­sons. Bay Roberts Mayor Philip Wood made a pre­sen­ta­tion on be­half of the town and thanked Carol for her years of vol­un­teer ser­vice.

The Bay Roberts Pub­lic Li­brary is a com­mu­nity re­source of­fer­ing free In­ter­net ac­cess, Wi-Fi, and com­puter ses­sions to res­i­dents. Knowl­edge­able li­brar­i­ans are ready to as­sist with find­ing ma­te­rial and ac­cess­ing gov­ern­ment ser­vices, the e-li­brary, and ma­te­rial held in other li­braries across the prov­ince.

The li­brary is lo­cated on Cross Road and is open Tues­day to Satur­day, as well as on Tues­day, Wed­nes­day, and Thursday evenings. Feel free to drop into the li­brary and speak to the li­brar­ian or to call the li­brary at 709-786-9629.
