Ryan Hawco to enter guilty pleas for South River armed robbery
Ryan Hawco has decided to enter guilty pleas for three of his seven charges.
Hawco appeared in Harbour Grace provincial court last Wednesday,
Hawco, 35, was arrested in October of
2016 following an incident at a South River business where an armed male entered the building with a knife, demanding money and cigarettes.
Hawco is charged with committing rob- bery, being disguised with intent, possession of a weapon for danger- ous purposes, mischief relating to property, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, failure to comply with condition of undertaking, and a recognizance to keep the peace relating to a separate incident.
Last Wednesday, the court learned Hawco would be entering guilty pleas for the charges of robbery, possession of a weapon, and being disguised with intent.
A date for Hawco’s sentencing has not yet been finalized due to Hawco’s lawyer’s schedule being unclear at the time, although the court is looking at July 24. Ryan Hawco was arrested last October following reports of an armed robbery in South River.
