Candidates confirmed in Trinity-ConceptionPlacentia towns Community calendar

The Compass - - Editorial - Calendar is a community service offered by The Compass to provide non-profit organizations with space free-of-charge

Voters in some communities will have plenty of decisions to make when it comes to choosing candidates to best represent their interests on council, while others won’t need to bother worrying about casting a ballot on election day.

Several towns in the TrinityConception-Placentia area finalized their list of nominees for municipal elections. In Victoria, Barry Dooley earned another four-year term as mayor.

In several communities, all councillors were elected by acclamation. Residents of Bishop’s Cove, Fox Harbour, New Perlican and Winterton will not be going to the polls Sept. 26.
