Nov. 11 Remembrance Day Parade Carbonear
All members of Branch 23 Carbonear wishing to take part in our Remembrance Day Parade are asked to be at our Legion by 9:45 a.m. to be bussed to College of the North Atlantic at 10 a.m. where everyone will form up and march to the Cenotaph. For more info call 596-3691.
Nov. 11 Remembrance Day events in Bay Roberts
Remembrance Day Parade at 11 a.m. to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Soup and sandwiches to be served at the Legion following the parade. All are welcome to attend. The Legion will also host a free Remembrance Day matinee show at 3 p.m. (music by Kevin Mercer) and a Remembrance Day Dance at 9:30 p.m. (music by Bob Hiscock, $5).
Nov. 16 & 18 St. Patrick’s Parish Fall Bazaar
At the Knights of Columbus in Carbonear. Hot roast beef dinners and desserts. Eat in or take out at 5 p.m. Bazaar continues on the Sunday with merchandise bingo, spins and canteen service. Doors open 1 p.m.
Nov. 18 Carbonear Legion Remembrance Day banquet & dance
Tickets for this event are available at our branch. Call ahead and reserve your ticket now at 596-3691. Cocktails will be at 7 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m. and the dance to follow.

Tuesday New Hope Al-ANON
Meets every Tuesday 7:30 p.m. at the U-Turn Addictions Centre in Carbonear, at 46 Powell Drive. A 12step recovery program for relatives and friends of alcoholics.
The Trinity Conception NAR-ANON Family Group offers a 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of their addiction.
