Happy retirement Dr. Power

The Compass - - Editorial -

I have known of some in my life that fit this the highest of honours, but none of them fits it more highly then you, Gerald Power.

There are no words that can express the feeling of kindness, of care and love that one human being gives another.

These are the hallmarks of what you, Dr. Gerald Power, have given Dallas and I ever since we came under your medical care a few years ago. Our appreciation and how we feel about you is likewise not expressible in words, but the best expression of that feeling would be to say your manner and behaviour has stirred in us a great kindness and love for you.

I cannot think of a greater honour to give another human being, and doctor, than to say that their character has affected the lives of others and this is exactly how you have affected Dallas and I, and your patients — you have filled us with that love and compassion for others!

Man’s greatest gift to another human being is to be able to help them, his greatest character to be willing to give it!

I have known of some in my life that fit this, the highest of honours, but none of them fits it more highly then you, Gerald Power. Great doctor. Great human being.

God has blessed you.
