Despite some heavy rainfall, residents of Carbonear still made an effort to display their holiday spirit Sunday, Dec. 10.

Starting from Home Hardware, vehicles, floats, and participants all decked out in Christmas attire made their way through the community, smiling and waving through the weather.

The Compass positioned itself on the corner of Pike’s Lane to snap some photos of the parade.

Santa Claus could be found in his sleigh near the end of the parade, wishing everyone happy holidays.

The Polar Express making its way down Water Street.

Even this gorilla had some holiday cheer.

This float featured a fairly recognizable Christian scene.
