Teams rep­re­sent­ing CeeBees Mi­nor Hockey and the Bay Arena sys­tems al­ready have ban­ners to raise to the rafters in light of great play on the ice.

The CeeBees fe­male un­der-20 team had a heck of a week­end at the pro­vin­cial B tour­na­ment in Con­cep­tion Bay South, go­ing un­de­feated en route to win­ning the cham­pi­onship game.

The team from Har­bour Grace beat Labrador West 3-1 Sun­day, March 25, re­sult­ing in a Hockey New­found­land and Labrador pro­vin­cial ban­ner for the CeeBees.

The CeeBees dis­played a lot of tal­ent over the course of three days, start­ing things off on the Fri­day with a 5-3 win over the Trin­ity Pla­cen­tia TeePees from Whit­bourne. Next came a 2-0 shutout win ver­sus the Clarenville Cari­bous.

On Satur­day, the CeeBees de­feated the Mount Pearl Blades 5-1 and won against the Chan­nel-Port aux Basques Blaze by a score of 2-1. The CeeBees once again shutout Clarenville, this time by a score of 4-0, be­fore meet­ing Labrador West in the fi­nal.

Mean­while, the TeePees kept the score close for the ma­jor­ity of their games played at the tour­na­ment, with four of the team’s five losses within a two-goals-or-less mar­gin. The team from Whit­bourne was vic­to­ri­ous Sun­day in an 8-3 win over the Bot­wood Blades.
