Wine trail project delayed 1 year
The next phase of West Kelowna’s Wine Trail will be built in 2018 rather than this year.
City council has delayed the $5million project on Boucherie Road so it can be done at the same time as a $1.25-million upgrade to underground utility lines.
It wouldn’t make sense to rip up a 1.3-kilometre stretch of Boucherie in successive years, councillors said. The Wine Trail involves amenities such as wider sidewalks, ornamental street lighting, banners, and bike lanes.
