Make next Wednesday a pizza day

The Daily Courier - - OKANAGAN -

Papa John’s third annual Dreams for Kids Day will take place on Wednesday.

All proceeds from Papa John’s restaurants in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton, Kamloops and Prince George will be donated to the Sunshine Foundation of Canada for its Dreamlift to Disneyland program.

The foundation sends a planeload of children with physical disabilities or serious illnesses to Disneyland for a whirlwind day of fun.

“The community support we’ve received over the past two years of Dreams for Kids Day has been outstanding,” said Geoff Linquist, owner of Papa John’s in Kelowna and West Kelowna. “We’re looking forward to connecting with customers and friends at both the Kelowna and West Kelowna locations to make this Dreams for Kids Day the biggest and best one yet.”

The 2016 Dreams for Kids Day raised more than $46,000 for the foundation.

“We could not do what we do without the support of community partners like Geoff and his team, and we are deeply moved by the spirit of all the Papa John’s employees and customers who opened their hearts to Sunshine,” said Nancy Sutherland, CEO of the Sunshine Foundation.

Papa John’s is located at 1959 Harvey Ave. in Kelowna and at 2483 Main St. in West Kelowna.
