Elec­tion can­di­dates now con­firmed

The dead­line has now passed for can­di­dates to en­ter the May 9 pro­vin­cial elec­tion.

The BC Lib­er­als, NDP and Greens will field can­di­dates in all three Cen­tral Okana­gan rid­ings.

Pre­mier Christy Clark’s Kelowna West rid­ing also has an in­de­pen­dent can­di­date.

Run­ning in Kelowna-Lake Coun­try are in­cum­bent Lib­eral Norm Let­nick, Erik Ole­sen for the NDP and Ali­son Shaw for the Greens.

The can­di­dates in Kelowna-Mis­sion are in­cum­bent Lib­eral Steve Thom­son, BC Con­ser­va­tive Chuck Hardy, New Demo­crat Har­winder Sandhu and Green Rainer Wilkins.

Clark is be­ing chal­lenged by Shel­ley Cook of the NDP, Robert Mel­lalieu of the Greens and in­de­pen­dent Brian Thiesen.

Lib­eral in­cum­bent Eric Foster is run­ning again in Ver­non Monashee against Barry Dor­val of the NDP, Green Keli West­gate and Lib­er­tar­ian Don Je­f­coat.
