Dutch, Canadian musicians performing together

The Daily Courier - - OKANAGAN -

Canadian and Dutch musicians will perform together at a special concert in Kelowna next week.

The Kelowna City Band and the Winkler-Prins Harmonie, from Kelowna’s sister city of Veendam in the Netherlands, will share the stage at the Community Theatre on April 29.

Theme for the concert is “Celebration of Canada and the Netherlands.”

The Kelowna-Veendam sister city relationship is based on the fact that members of the BC Dragoons helped reestablish civilian rule in the Dutch town after the end of the Second World War.

Tickets for the show are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $10 for students. Available at Kelownatickets.com or at the door.
