Spec­trum Singers

The CNR Wharf in Gel­latly Bay was filled with peo­ple dressed in evening wear last Sun­day af­ter­noon as the West­side-based Spec­trum Singers un­der the di­rec­tion of Kim Kleineberg gath­ered to take pho­tographs. The adult choir will be per­form­ing at the In­ter­na­tional Choral Fes­ti­val in We­natchee, Wash., in April and are head­ing to Carnegie Hall in New York in Novem­ber. Lo­cally, the Spec­trum Singers present As Time Goes By May 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s Cathe­dral at 608 Suther­land Ave. in Kelowna. The time-re­lated pro­gram be­gins with mu­sic from the 1700s and con­cludes with a piece from 2016 and in­cludes folk, clas­sic Latin, gospel, swing and light jazz. Tick­ets cost $20 per adult and $10 per stu­dent or child and are avail­able at the UPS Store in West Kelowna, Mosaic Books in Kelowna or any choir mem­ber.
