Put more Good Deeds in the paper
Editor: Since noticing the Good Deeds section of the Daily Courier a short while ago, I’ve wanted to 1) compliment the Courier for introducing another positive spin in the paper, and 2) comment that I’d like to see that section grow.
Today is the day that I am getting these thoughts on paper, however, because of a Good Deed story that just ran featuring nine-year old Dominic Gosselin, who donated his birthday money to the Kelowna General Hospital neonatal intensive care unit.
Reading about his good deed inspired me to immediately match his donation — and who knows how other people may have also been similarly inspired? So, way to go Courier for increasing the awareness of acts of kindness in our community, awareness that in turn will create a ripple effect of more positive actions. Heather Hollingworth, Kelowna
