Housing proposed for Peachland

The Daily Courier - - OKANAGAN -

Plans are in the works for a new housing project in Peachland.

The development, called Oasis, is eyed for 13th Street between Lake Avenue and Clement Avenue.

Information presented to town council this week indicated the developers continue to work with town engineering staff on technical details, and a complete report will be prepared soon.

The proposed rezoning for the property is to mixed use, which suggests a combination of residential suites and commercial premises.

As well, a seven-suite project is proposed for 4364 Beach Ave., with town staff currently reviewing the plans.

So far this year, Peachland has approved $16.7 million worth of new projects, compared to $6.8 million to this point in 2016.
