Westside water alert about to be lifted

The Daily Courier - - CITY -

West Kelowna crews will be performing water-main flushing in the Lakeview distribution system over the next several days in anticipation of the removal of the current water-quality advisory.

Lakeview water users may experience discolouration in the water while flushing is underway.

If residents notice discolouration after flushing is completed, they are advised to turn on the cold-water tap until the water runs clear.

A water-quality advisory has been in place since Sept. 7 due to higherthan-normal turbidity in the Rose Valley Reservoir, which feeds the Lakeview system.
