Only 9 ad­di­tional stu­dents at Pen­tic­ton area schools

En­rol­ment in Pen­tic­ton area schools has grown by only nine stu­dents to 5,617 this year.

Data in­cluded in the agenda pack­age for tonight’s meet­ing of the Okana­gan Skaha school board shows a net loss of 11 kids in Sum­mer­land and six in Kale­den, Nara­mata and West Bench com­bined, which were off­set by a gain of 26 in Pen­tic­ton.

The big­gest in­crease was at Park­way Mid­dle School, which added 29 kids to take its en­rol­ment to 274. The big­gest de­crease was at Pen­tic­ton Sec­ondary School, which lost 24 stu­dents and dipped to 1,129 in to­tal.
