Just over 1,000 people a day cast ballots during advance voting in the Kelowna West byelection. A total of 6,142 ballots were cast between last Tuesday and Sunday, Elections B.C. says. There were four days of advance voting in 2013 byelection, which resulted in then-premier Christy Clark winning a seat in the legislature.

General voting day in the current byelection is tomorrow. Voting stations are open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. at Chief Tomat elementary, First Baptist Church, George Pringle elementary, Grace Baptist Church, Kelowna Curling Club, Killiney Beach community hall, Lakeview Heights Baptist Church, Powers Creek Community Church, Rose Valley elementary school, St. Pius X Church, Super 8 West Kelowna Hotel, Westside Alliance Church.

Candidates for election are Shelley Cook of the NDP, Liberal Ben Stewart, Robert Stupka of the Greens, Kyle Geronazzo of the Libertarians and Mark Thompson of the BC Conservatives.
