Attendance grows at
Attendance at a local art gallery rose 30 per cent last year compared to 2016, Kelowna city council will hear today.
More than 13,000 people passed through the doors of the Alternator Gallery for Contemporary Art, facility managers say. The non-profit society that runs the Alternator gets 81 per cent of its revenues from government grants. In 2016, the City of Kelowna gave the Alternator a grant of $26,000.
