Attendance grows at

Attendance at a lo­cal art gallery rose 30 per cent last year com­pared to 2016, Kelowna city coun­cil will hear to­day.

More than 13,000 peo­ple passed through the doors of the Al­ter­na­tor Gallery for Con­tem­po­rary Art, fa­cil­ity man­agers say. The non-profit so­ci­ety that runs the Al­ter­na­tor gets 81 per cent of its rev­enues from govern­ment grants. In 2016, the City of Kelowna gave the Al­ter­na­tor a grant of $26,000.
