Queen trib­ute com­ing to Ver­non

A Queen trib­ute show com­ing to Ver­non next month will recre­ate the real band’s 1986 world tour and fea­ture two hours of Queen’s great­est hits per­formed live, in­clud­ing We Will Rock You, Bo­hemian Rhap­sody, We Are the Cham­pi­ons and Some­body to Love.

Queen: It’s A Kinda Magic, will be at the Ver­non and Dis­trict Per­form­ing Arts Cen­tre on May 19.

Giles Tay­lor, who takes on the role as singer Fred­die Mer­cury, is de­scribed as the only Fred­die im­i­ta­tor who plays both piano and gui­tar live on stage.

Sup­port­ing Tay­lor in a mam­moth stage pro­duc­tion are Aus­tralians Richie Baker as Brian May on gui­tar and Kyle Thomp­son as Roger Tay­lor on drums, with South African Steven Den­nett as John Dea­con on bass.
