Queen tribute coming to Vernon
A Queen tribute show coming to Vernon next month will recreate the real band’s 1986 world tour and feature two hours of Queen’s greatest hits performed live, including We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions and Somebody to Love.
Queen: It’s A Kinda Magic, will be at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre on May 19.
Giles Taylor, who takes on the role as singer Freddie Mercury, is described as the only Freddie imitator who plays both piano and guitar live on stage.
Supporting Taylor in a mammoth stage production are Australians Richie Baker as Brian May on guitar and Kyle Thompson as Roger Taylor on drums, with South African Steven Dennett as John Deacon on bass.
Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the VDPAC box office or queenitsakindamagic.com.
