BOX OF POSSIBILITIES LUNCH FUNDRAISER
Community Living of the Upper Ottawa Valley (CLUOV) held its fourth annual lunch box fundraiser on April 26. The day prior, volunteers prepared 400 lunches at Holy Name Annex. All of the foods were either donated or purchased from local vendors. The meals were delivered to businesses and organizations around Chalk River, Petawawa, Pembroke and Laurentian Valley. After all expenses were paid, the initiative raised a grand total of $2,800 which will be going towards the CLUOV’s Outcomes Fund. Rolling up their sleeves to make the lunches (from left) were volunteers Polly James, Kyle Croft and Michael Santone, CLUOV’s community awareness and public relations coordinator Carol Ripley along with with volunteers Gayle Cayen and Lisa Teevens.
