BOX OF POS­SI­BIL­I­TIES LUNCH FUNDRAISER

Com­mu­nity Liv­ing of the Up­per Ot­tawa Val­ley (CLUOV) held its fourth an­nual lunch box fundraiser on April 26. The day prior, vol­un­teers pre­pared 400 lunches at Holy Name An­nex. All of the foods were ei­ther do­nated or pur­chased from lo­cal vendors. The meals were de­liv­ered to busi­nesses and or­ga­ni­za­tions around Chalk River, Petawawa, Pem­broke and Lau­ren­tian Val­ley. Af­ter all ex­penses were paid, the ini­tia­tive raised a grand to­tal of $2,800 which will be go­ing to­wards the CLUOV’s Out­comes Fund. Rolling up their sleeves to make the lunches (from left) were vol­un­teers Polly James, Kyle Croft and Michael San­tone, CLUOV’s com­mu­nity aware­ness and pub­lic re­la­tions co­or­di­na­tor Carol Ri­p­ley along with with vol­un­teers Gayle Cayen and Lisa Teevens.
