First ladies’ night of sea­son at Roanoke

The first ladies night of the sea­son at Roanoke Golf Course in Petawawa took place on May 15. Twenty-three women took part in the event that was spon­sored by Coun­try Home Gar­dens. Win­ners were as fol­lows: In A flight, 1st was Linda Brazeau with 25 points, 2nd Shirley Bad­g­ley with 23 pts. and 3rd was Eleanor Boire with 22 pts.

In B flight ,1 st was All ice Ca low with 17 pts., and 2nd was Mavis Tet­lock with 17 pts. (count­back).

In C flight, 1st was Aurore Webb with 26 pts., 2nd Mary Smeltzer with 24 pts., 3rd Brend a Lundy with 21pts. and 4th was Ur­sula Nancekiv­ell with 20.5 pts.

In D flight, 1st was Kay Saun­ders with 29 pts., 2nd Cathy McCabe with 26 pts., 3rd Karen Ross with 26 pts. (count­back), and 4th was Kelly Bris­sette with 25 pts.

Prox­im­ity prizes win­ners were, clos­est to the line Aurore Webb, clos­est to the pin Brenda Lundy and long­est putt was Shirley Bad­g­ley at 15’ 10”.

The 50/50 win­ner was Karen Ross and club­house draw win­ner was Linda Brazeau.

Our next ladies night will be on Mon­day, May 22 with Neville Fu­neral Home spon­sor­ing.
