QUILTERS: Zion Lutheran Church at the cor­ner of Miller and Munro Streets in Pem­broke is look­ing for quilters, both young and old, or those young at heart. You don't even have to be a good quil­ter as we don't do any­thing fancy. You can quilt as long as you know how to make a few stitches. Our quilts are sent to Cana­dian Lutheran World Re­lief. HER­ITAGE VIL­LAGE FALL EVENT: The Petawawa Her­itage Vil­lage Fall Event takes place on Sept. 23. Gate opens at 10 a.m., runs to 4 p.m. This year we are host­ing a me­dieval com­bat demon­stra­tion by the So­ci­ety of Creative Anar­chism. We will also have spin­ning demon­stra­tions black­smith, engine shop, model train dis­play and much more. Cost is a do­na­tion at the gate.
