ANISHINAABE CULTURAL CIRCLE:
The Anishinaabe Cultural Circle, dedicated to acquainting the community with aboriginal culture, will meet on Saturday, Sep. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 464 Isabella Street in Pembroke. Crystal Martin will discuss the Inuit culture. Everyone is welcome. Please bring a dish for the potluck lunch.

CHICKEN PIE SUPPER: The St. John's Lutheran Church Annual Chicken Pie Supper takes place on September 16 between 4 and 7 p.m. in the church hall located at 605 Black Bay Rd., in Petawawa. Event is wheelchair accessible and in addition to the great tasting chicken pie supper, will feature homemade baking, pickles and preserves for sale.

QUILTERS: Zion Lutheran Church at the corner of Miller and Munro Streets in Pembroke is looking for quilters, both young and old, or those young at heart. You don't even have to be a good quilter as we don't do anything fancy. You can quilt as long as you know how to make a few stitches. Our quilts are sent to Canadian Lutheran World Relief. We quilt on Mondays from 9 to 2 p.m. Bring a sandwich for lunch – we provide the tea or if you want, stay only until noon. That's ok too. Contact Cheryl at 613-687-9219.

HERITAGE VILLAGE FALL EVENT: The Petawawa Heritage Village Fall Event takes place on Sept. 23. Gate opens at 10 a.m., runs to 4 p.m. This year we are hosting a medieval combat demonstration by the Society of Creative Anarchism. We will also have spinning demonstrations blacksmith, engine shop, model train display and much more. Cost is a donation at the gate.
