ANISHINAABE CUL­TURAL CIR­CLE:

The Anishinaabe Cul­tural Cir­cle, ded­i­cated to ac­quaint­ing the com­mu­nity with abo­rig­i­nal cul­ture, will meet on Saturday, Sep. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 464 Is­abella Street in Pem­broke. Crys­tal Martin will dis­cuss the Inuit cul­ture. Every­one is wel­come. Please bring a dish for the potluck lunch.

CHICKEN PIE SUP­PER: The St. John's Lutheran Church An­nual Chicken Pie Sup­per takes place on Septem­ber 16 be­tween 4 and 7 p.m. in the church hall lo­cated at 605 Black Bay Rd., in Petawawa. Event is wheel­chair ac­ces­si­ble and in ad­di­tion to the great tast­ing chicken pie sup­per, will fea­ture home­made bak­ing, pick­les and pre­serves for sale.

ROAST BEEF DIN­NER: Petawawa Le­gion Branch 517 is hold­ing a roast beef din­ner from 4:45 – 6:30 p.m. This full din­ner will also in­clude salad and dessert all for $15. Open to all so bring the fam­ily.

QUILTERS: Zion Lutheran Church at the cor­ner of Miller and Munro Streets in Pem­broke is look­ing for quilters, both young and old, or those young at heart. You don't even have to be a good quil­ter as we don't do any­thing fancy. You can quilt as long as you know how to make a few stitches. Our quilts are sent to Cana­dian Lutheran World Re­lief. We quilt on Mon­days from 9 to 2 p.m. Bring a sand­wich for lunch – we pro­vide the tea or if you want, stay only un­til noon. That's ok too. Con­tact Ch­eryl at 613-687-9219.

HER­ITAGE VIL­LAGE FALL EVENT: The Petawawa Her­itage Vil­lage Fall Event takes place on Sept. 23. Gate opens at 10 a.m., runs to 4 p.m. This year we are host­ing a me­dieval com­bat demon­stra­tion by the So­ci­ety of Creative Anar­chism. We will also have spin­ning demon­stra­tions black­smith, engine shop, model train dis­play and much more. Cost is a do­na­tion at the gate.
