FREE WALKING PROGRAM: Miramichi Lodge offers a free community walking program every Tuesday and Thursday from October until April. Drop in anytime between 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. to stay fit as you walk the halls of the lodge! In partnership with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the County of Renfrew Emergency Services, this walking program meets the criteria of a Heart Wise Exercise Program. [Walking in the Halls] It! at Beachburg Public School is open every Monday and Wednesday from 5-6:45 p.m. [cancelled on snow days & school holidays!] Everyone is welcome. This is a free program to walk with neighbours, friends and family for fun and fellowship in a safe, warm place in the colder winter months. Drop-in anytime within these hours and walk for 5 minutes or the whole time. Guests from local businesses and agencies will join the walking group on occasion to be available to answer questions.
