The Petawawa Grand­moth­ers group is thrilled to an­nounce that Ida Mukuka Nam­beya will be vis­it­ing the re­gion and will be spend­ing an af­ter­noon in Petawawa on Mon­day, June 18.

Don’t miss this op­por­tu­nity to spend some per­sonal time with Ida and learn more about the work of the Stephen Lewis Foun­da­tion, the Grand­moth­ers’s Cam­paign and the im­por­tant work be­ing done at the grass­roots level in Africa.

Please join the grand­moth­ers for an in­spir­ing af­ter­noon of con­ver­sa­tion with Ida Mukuka and Sarah Dopp, com­mu­nity cam­paigns man­ager with the Stephen Lewis Foun­da­tion

Ida is a con­sul­tant with the Stephen Lewis Foun­da­tion’s Grand­moth­ers to Grand­moth­ers Cam­paign, work­ing with African and Cana­dian grand­moth­ers alike to strengthen the bonds of sol­i­dar­ity. For nine years, Ida was one of the SLF’s trusted field rep­re­sen­ta­tives, us­ing her ex­ten­sive knowl­edge and ex­pe­ri­ence to help build the ca­pac­ity of grass­roots AIDS or­ga­ni­za­tions through­out sub-Sa­ha­ran Africa.

The event is hosted by Petawawa Gran­nies, one of many groups of the Ottawa-Gatineau Re­gion. It takes place June 18 at the Sil­ver Thread Se­niors Club of Petawawa at 1163 Vic­to­ria St. Petawawa from 1 p.m. to 3 pm Ev­ery­one is wel­come. Ad­mis­sion is free.
