GOSPEL MEET­ING: At the Mau­rice Londry Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, 73 Main St., South Por­cu­pine be­gin­ning at 7 p.m. These gath­er­ings are about the life and teach­ings of Je­sus ac­cord­ing to Scrip­ture and will be held weekly each Wed­nes­day un­til Feb. 8. All are wel­come.

MU­SEUM ART EX­HIBIT: The Tim­mins Mu­seum: NEC is pleased to present “The 60th An­nual North­ern On­tario Art Ex­hi­bi­tion” a ju­ried ex­hi­bi­tion of art se­lected from the work of mem­bers from the 15 North­ern On­tario art clubs. The ex­hi­bi­tion will be held in the Red Gallery and will be opened to the pub­lic for view­ing un­til Jan. 27th.

ART AT TADH: The Tim­mins and Dis­trict Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion is proud to fea­ture the paint­ings of Dan Fizzell in the art gallery un­til Jan. 20 Dan’s ex­hibit, en­ti­tled Black and White with a Touch of Colour fea­tures paint­ings of peo­ple and places in both re­al­is­tic and sur­real styles. His artwork fea­tures blacks and whites and shades of grey with flashes of colour. Dan has been in Tim­mins since the early 80’s and is staff at the hos­pi­tal. He says that paint­ing has al­ways been a calm­ing in­flu­ence on him. We wel­come Dan to the gallery on the main prom­e­nade and re­mind you that a per­cent­age of all sales from this ex­hi­bi­tion stay with the Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion for the pur­chase of med­i­cal equip­ment. Please come by the Foun­da­tion to pur­chase one of these pieces of art and visit the art gallery and leave a com­ment for the artist.
