Northern movie location
The Timmins Film Society will be screening Mean Dreams, a film that was shot in Sault Ste. Marie. Mean Dreams is a part coming-ofage story, part crime thriller that makes use of Northern Ontario scenery, according to a release issued by the film society. The film stars Bill Paxton, Sophie Nelisse, Josh Wiggings, and Colm Feore, and is directed by Nathan Morlando. The film premiered internationally in 2015 at la Quinzaine des realisateaurs at Cannes in May and at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Mean Dreams will be shown at Timmins Cinema 6 on Monday beginning at 7 p.m. Following the screening, a question-and-answer period will feature William Woods, one of the film’s producers who is visiting from los angeles. advanced screening tickets are available for $10 from Black Spruce Gallery & Framing and the Timmins Museum.
