NOSM trainees embrace warm Timmins welcome

The Daily Press (Timmins) - - OPINION -

most medical learners experience a mix of pride, enthusiasm, and of course, a healthy dose of nervousness as they set about their start of training in a new community that is to become home for an extended period of time.

Coming from a larger city as well can prove to be challenging. However, if the heartwarming welcome that we have received is any indication, calling Timmins home will be no challenge whatsoever.

We would like to express our gratitude to the local Northern Ontario School of medicine group, hospital staff, physicians, community members and local businesses for the warm reception, generosity and hospitality.

The welcome gift baskets highlight the generosity and support of the community behind our studies. We will make great use of this generosity over the coming months to maintain good work-life balance and remain motivated throughout our training.

We look forward to getting involved in Timmins, our new home. Northern Ontario School of Medicine Clinical Clerks and Family Medicine Residents, Timmins
