Film so­ci­ety screen­ing

The Tim­mins Film So­ci­ety will be pre­sent­ing Cather­ine Bain­bridge’s film “Rumble: The In­di­ans Who Rocked The World.” It will be screened at Tim­mins Cin­ema 6 Mon­day be­gin­ning at 7 p.m. Rumble tells the story of a pro­found, es­sen­tial and – un­til now – miss­ing chap­ter in the his­tory of Amer­i­can mu­sic: the In­dige­nous in­flu­ence. The film fea­tures mu­sic icons Charley Pat­ton, Mil­dred Bai­ley, Link Wray, Jimi Hen­drix, Jesse Ed Davis, Buffy Sainte-marie, Rob­bie Robert­son, Randy Castillo, and oth­ers, Rumble shows how th­ese mu­si­cians helped shape the sound­track of our lives. Tick­ets can be pur­chased in ad­vance for $10 at Black Spruce Gallery on Pine Street North or at the Tim­mins Mu­seum. Lim­ited tick­ets will be avail­able at the door.
