Film society screening
The Timmins Film Society will be presenting Catherine Bainbridge’s film “Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked The World.” It will be screened at Timmins Cinema 6 Monday beginning at 7 p.m. Rumble tells the story of a profound, essential and – until now – missing chapter in the history of American music: the Indigenous influence. The film features music icons Charley Patton, Mildred Bailey, Link Wray, Jimi Hendrix, Jesse Ed Davis, Buffy Sainte-marie, Robbie Robertson, Randy Castillo, and others, Rumble shows how these musicians helped shape the soundtrack of our lives. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 at Black Spruce Gallery on Pine Street North or at the Timmins Museum. Limited tickets will be available at the door. Tickets are available for purchase online through the Timmins Film Society Facebook page.
