KIDSPORT: Kidsport/sports for Kids of­fice at the Sport­splex arena opens Tues­day. Nov. 14 at 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for 2018 ap­pli­ca­tions. Of­fice is usu­ally open Tues­days and Thurs­days. How­ever, this week will be an ex­cep­tion. The of­fice will be open Wed­nes­day this week, in­stead of Thurs­day, from 9:30 a.m. to

1:30 p.m. You must pro­vide your 2016 no­tice of as­sess­ment and pay stubs for the month of Oc­to­ber for all adults sup­port­ing the child and a com­pleted ap­pli­ca­tion for each child. All sports for 2018 must be ap­plied for at the same time and no change of the sport or vouch­ers is al­lowed. Money for 2018 is on a first-come ba­sis and all ap­pli­cants from 2017 must reap­ply ev­ery year. Kidsport Timmins re­quires the par­ents to reg­is­ter the child and to be avail­able for a fol­lowup in­ter­view. Ap­ply early as it is re­quired you ap­ply two weeks be­fore the regis­tra­tion of the first sport and Jan­uary sports reg­is­ter in De­cem­ber. TIMMINS MU­SEUM: The Timmins Mu­seum is host­ing the ex­hi­bi­tion “Pan­dora’s Tro­jan Horse; Ex­plor­ing Is­sues around Cli­mate Change” un­til Nov. 28, in the Grey Gallery at the Timmins Mu­seum: NEC,

325 Sec­ond Ave. The ex­hi­bi­tion, by artist Margot Cormier Splane, deals with a se­ries of en­vi­ron­men­tal con­cerns. Cormier Splane has metic­u­lously re­searched the cli­mate change prob­lem and al­lows her art to tell the story of her find­ings. Ad­mis­sion is free.

HOS­PI­TAL GALLERY: The Timmins and District Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion is proud to fea­ture the pho­tog­ra­phy the pho­tog­ra­phy of Jean Gib­bons in the art gallery un­til Jan. 5, 2018. Jean’s ex­hi­bi­tion fea­tures time­less mo­ments of every­day beauty found in Timmins, with a fo­cus on Gil­lies Lake and in par­tic­u­lar, the board­walk. Jean is ac­tive in a num­ber of lo­cal or­ga­ni­za­tions and has pub­lished two photo books, the most re­cent of which is avail­able for sale through the Foun­da­tion of­fice. We wel­come Jean back to the gallery on the main prom­e­nade and re­mind you that a per­cent­age of all sales from this ex­hi­bi­tion stay with the Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion for the pur­chase of med­i­cal equip­ment.

RE­HEARSALS: The Timmins Sym­phony Cho­rus is host­ing re­hearsals ev­ery Tues­day evening at the Timmins Pen­te­costal Church on Air­port Road. WHOLE­SOME FUN: Kidz Klub in Por­cu­pine meets ev­ery Tues­day for chil­dren ages 5-12 years. FIT­NESS: City Walk­ers is a free com­mu­nity sup­port pro­gram pon­sored by Re­hab Plus and Pick of the Crop. The walk is led by a qual­i­fied health pro­fes­sional ev­ery Wed­nes­day morn­ing from 9 -10 a.m. Fresh fruit pro­vided by Pick of the Crop.
