TPS seeks new leads on miss­ing per­son

The Tim­mins Po­lice Ser­vice is hop­ing to spark fresh leads on a man who went miss­ing more than a year ago.

The TPS is seek­ing the public’s as­sis­tance with a case in­volv­ing a miss­ing per­son re­ported to them in Au­gust 2017.

Christo­pher James Rivers, 45, of Por­cu­pine, was re­ported as miss­ing by his fam­ily and “this case re­mains an open file with the Tim­mins Po­lice Ser­vice,” po­lice said in a re­lease is­sued Wed­nes­day.

“Ex­ten­sive re­sources in terms of man­power and other in­ves­tiga­tive mea­sures have been de­ployed by the Tim­mins Po­lice Ser­vice and de­spite these ef­forts, the where­abouts of this miss­ing per­son have yet to be de­ter­mined.

“With this in mind, the Tim­mins Po­lice Ser­vice – Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions Divi­sion is seek­ing the public’s as­sis­tance in terms of any vi­able in­for­ma­tion, no mat­ter how triv­ial, that could prove to be use­ful in re­gards to this in­ves­ti­ga­tion.”
