Premier needs to expand focus outside of Toronto

The Daily Press (Timmins) - - OPINION -

What the heck is going on with Premier Doug Ford?

It seems like he has his feet stuck in fresh cement in front of Toronto City Hall. Does he not realize that when I and other Conservatives in the province of Ontario elected to put the Conservatives in power, it was to get rid of Kathleen Wynne and her rubber duck?

We thought we would get a premier that would work for Ontarians to get Ontario back in the black. But what did we get? A new council member for Toronto city council.

He should get a slap on the butt and realize Ontario is more than Toronto city council. He hasn’t done much for Ontario yet.

I say to Mr. Ford: Get in your car and go for a drive and show the people who voted for our party that your concerns are for Ontario and not just Toronto.

I am sure Toronto city council can look after themselves. That city has been there for a couple of hundred years before Mr. Ford came into power. So Mr. Ford, be careful. Stop and smell the roses or we might end up with a new Liberal leader — rubber duck and all.
