FRI­DAY (Nov. 9) CRAFT SHOW: The an­nual Schu­macher Li­ons Club Christ­mas Craft and Gift Show at the McIn­tyre Com­mu­nity Build­ing, Fri­day, Satur­day and Sun­day. It kicks off Fri­day from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and con­tin­ues through­out the day Satur­day and Sun­day.

WARTIME MU­SIC: St. Mary’s Gar­dens will be host­ing an evening of wartime mu­sic, fea­tur­ing the Tim­mins All Star Big Band, on this Fri­day begin­ning at 7 p.m. Tick­ets are $10 for the pub­lic. BEN­E­FIT: Fundraiser for Good Sa­mar­i­tan Inn. A “Praise Je­sus Ben­e­fit Con­cert” will be held at Bi­ble Fel­low­ship As­sem­bly, 207 Lawrence Ave. Por­cu­pine (Across from the Skate­board Park) on Fri­day, Novem­ber 9th from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. Come and en­joy lo­cal Chris­tian mu­si­cians’ min­istry in song and help sup­port the home­less shel­ter. Re­ceipts (good for in­come tax pur­poses) will be is­sued for your do­na­tions. TIM­MINS MU­SEUM: “Nice Women Don’t Want the Vote” was a phrase at­trib­uted to Man­i­toba’s Premier Sir Rod­mond Roblin dur­ing a heated ex­change with suf­frag­ist Nel­lie McClung. Now it’s the ti­tle of an ex­hibit de­vel­oped by The Man­i­toba Mu­seum which out­lines the his­tor­i­cal con­text of the Suf­frag­ist move­ment and com­mem­o­rates the 100th an­niver­sary of (most) women in Man­i­toba win­ning the right to vote. The ex­hibit is cur­rently be­ing shown at the Tim­mins Mu­seum and will be on dis­play un­til Nov. 30.

ART­WORK AT TADH: In the main prom­e­nade at Tim­mins and Dis­trict Hospi­tal, un­til Dec. 9, a se­ries of mixed me­dia paint­ings by lo­cal artist and teacher Marie-Josée Arse­nault will be

on dis­play. Here you will see a variety of up­cy­cled ma­te­ri­als in­cluded in Arse­nault’s acrylic cre­ations. A por­tion of pro­ceeds of any art sold goes to the TADH Foun­da­tion.

SE­NIORS: Tim­mins Se­nior Cen­tre, 272 Third Ave., of­fers chair yoga at 10 a.m., bridge at 12:45 p.m., and bid euchre at 1 p.m.
