Woman assaulted in Delhi
Police seeking tips on suspicious individuals, vehicles
A woman was taken to hospital last week after being assaulted in a home in Delhi.
Police were called to the home on Aberdeen Avenue near the intersection of Adams Avenue April 5 around 11 a.m. When they arrived, a door to the home was open and a woman inside was found injured.
Norfolk paramedics took the woman to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police ask anyone in the community who saw anything unusual around this time immediately north of Delhi District Secondary School to contact authorities.
“The investigation is ongoing,” says Const. Ed Sanchuk of the Norfolk OPP. “We are following up on information that we have received from the public.”
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area in question last Thursday morning -- an individual, a motor vehicle – is asked to contact the local detachment at 1-888310-1122.
Tips can also be shared with Crime Stoppers of Haldimand and Norfolk at 1-800-222-8477. Callers to Crime Stoppers who help solve a crime are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
