“We are looking at this as a quick fix, and then we are looking at a traf­fic study, as an over­all global one, for a more long-term kind of a plan. This win­ter we will be camp­ing on that, and then roll out a two year plan,” said McDon­ald.

Ber­tamini says what­ever tack coun­cil takes on the is­sue, will be di­rected by the pub­lic’s re­sponse.

“It is crit­i­cal that coun­cil doesn’t make up its mind; the process comes from pub­lic in­put. Once I hear what the pub­lic has to say, and put it with my own pref­er­ences, we’ll come up with what we hope is the best so­lu­tion,” said Ber­tamini.

There is a pub­lic in­for­ma­tion ses­sion at 6:30 p.m. in the Drumheller Civic Cen­tre to learn more about the pro­posed changes to park­ing in the down­town core.
