Town clean-up wraps up with average numbers
Drumheller’s town clean-up for 2009 was done May 4 to 14, where 11 of the town’s employees worked hard to pick up any unwanted garbage throughout the entire valley. Town employee Barry Pozzo had said this year’s loads, in weight, were about the same as last year’s clean-up. The strangest thing Pozzo had found in this year’s mounds of garbage was a Christmas tree with the lights and bulbs still on. He recalls one of the oddest pieces he’s picked up was a washing machine with a load of clothes still inside.
