On Thursday, January 28, St. Anthony’s Junior Varsity Sabres had a successful win against Beiseker Community School. Coach Gavin Makse said, “We only had seven players for last nights game, as we were missing 2-3 starters, but it was a great team victory. I am really happy about that, they played a really good defense. They worked well as a team and that was instrumental to the win.” Makse further commented, “We want to play Beiseker again, as we had lost to them at our home tournament, and we want to play them one more time. It was a difficult game as we have had no full practices due to exam time. The girls played well, everyone had a good defensive game and we were proud to get the win.” Final Score 40-27 for St. Anthony Sabres.
