A number of events are coming up quickly in our community. You might want to mark your calendars so that you won’t miss any of them.
Sunday, February 7, is the next pancake breakfast in the Craigmyle church basement. Ladies, get your sweethearts to treat you to an early Valentine’s breakfast, as you pass the hint the real Valentine’s Day is a week later!
Wednesday, February 10 is the next meeting of the Craigmyle Historic Society at 7:00 pm in the church basement. All interested persons are invited to attend.
On Saturday, February 13 a Valentine’s Day tea will be held in the church basement beginning at 2:00 pm. The theme of the tea is “Think Spring.” Guest speaker, Sandi Checkel, from Checkel’s Green House will be offering a visual presentation to those in attendance. The topics she will be addressing are: gardening myths; fertilizers; interesting varieties for our area; as well as providing a question and answer period. Refreshments will be served and guests will have the opportunity to enter their names in a draw for a number of door prizes, including gift certificates for the Checkel Greenhouse. There is no charge for this event and folk from both inside and outside the community are invited to attend.
