The best investment you’ll make this year.
Pam Collett is still looking for volunteers to work at the Kindergarten casino being held on June 23 and 24. We have more shifts than families in the school so if you can help out it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all those who have their names down already to work but we do still need to fill some shifts. If you could volunteer some of your time please contact Pam at 403787-2511. Thanks in advance.
At the January 28, 2016 Council Meeting, Hussar Council passed Bylaw #502-16 Speed Limit Bylaw. This Bylaw sets the speed limit for Hussar at 40 km per hour except in playground/ school zones, back alleys and the campground. The speed limit in the playground/school zone is 30 km per hour and the speed limit in back alleys and the campground is 15 km per hour. This bylaw came into full force and effect as of January 28, 2016 and new speed signs will be installed as soon as possible. To view the bylaw, council meeting minutes or posted policies, please visit our website at www.villageofhussar.ca. Click on the “Council” tab and “Meeting Minutes”. County of Newell Peace Officers will be patrolling Hussar as a pilot project this year and will be enforcing this and other bylaws, as needed.
On the weekend Tonya Schempp, Angela Treacy, Jessica Kaiser and Teneil Wruck travelled to Aberdeen, Saskatchewan to curl in a ladies bonspiel. This is Teneil’s hometown so it was nice for her to get to see everyone back home. The girls won the “C” event while there, way to go girls!
