I hope everyone had a nice family weekend and enjoyed the weather too.

Friday was rather a mixture for a short time depending on what part of town you were in.

Mike and Judy Borwick are keeping the ski lifts in business this winter with their outings the weekend of February 6 they were in sunshine and Lake Louise and from weather reports in BC they will likely be going out there somewhere.

I heard via the grapevine that some of the folks in Orkney had a quading party Sunday at the creek and then goodies later at Ferguson’s. Oh, to be young again!

This past Saturday I had Marjorie Carter from Edmonton and her brother Don from Calgary stop for a visit and have supper with me. It’s nice to have folks just to phone and say they’ll be here in an hour for a visit. Keeps me on my toes to have food in the fridge.

This past Monday my son Rick phoned and said he’d come pick me up for supper in Beiseker for supper and then he’d bring me home again so I got to see Meaghan, Brayden and the great grandsons Jack and Cooper too.

Remember to mark your calendar for February 26 for cards, games and visiting at the Centre starting at 7:00 p.m. If you like to snack take along your goodie bag.

That seems to be all for this week. Perhaps next week there will be more news. It isn’t golf season yet but here’s William Wordsworth definition of the game: A day spent in a round of strenuous idleness.
