Happy Belated Valentines to all you who love and are loved, I hope you were able to enjoy the unseasonable warm days and go outside to enjoy the weekend. We all know it is Alberta and it won’t last. The ladies bonspiel wrapped up on the weekend with some exciting finals and a lovely meal at the hall for the curlers and spectators.

The A final came to an end with a real nail biter as Katie Primrose’s team beat out Carolin Schofers team. In the 2nd event, Jill Holowath’s team won over Trudy Green’s team. In the 3rd event, Dawn Wright and her teammates sent Terra Adams and her crew into second place. As for 3rd spot in the first event, Marj Kiemeles’ team won over Betty Primrose and her teammates. In the Second event, 3rd place was secured by Leah Watts and 4th taken home by Pat Holowath and her la- dies. In the Third event it came down to Deena Arvidson and her team winning over Norah Watts and her ladies. The final prize of the evening was handed out to the first team out of the tournament which was Tracy Stangers’ group. Thanks to the 13 teams who joined in the weeks fun and the organizers who keep things going. Next up on the Ag Society’s calendar is the Mixed Doubles which will run Feb. 18, 19 and 20. Come in and watch the fun.

I would like to send out a thank you to Judy Stoneman who hosted at St. Mary’s in January to celebrate the seniors birthdays. In February on the 22nd, Jean Richmond will host.

Here’s a quick reminder if you are picking up your paper on time, the Library is hosting a Craft night tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 17 starting at 7:00 p.m. We will learn how to make felt dryer balls as an exploratory craft into the world of felting. Everyone is welcome to attend. If you are interested in pursuing the craft further and would like to take the supplies home with you there will be a charge for the needle and additional wool. I would also like to welcome all crafters if you would like to just sit in and enjoy your knitting, crocheting or whatever else you do, come on in, we can share ideas and projects with everyone there. I hope to see everyone there. Hope this makes you giggle: A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: ‘’Ugh, that’s the ugliest baby I’ve ever seen!’’ The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: ‘’ The driver just insulted me!’’ The man says: ‘’ You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I’ll hold your monkey for you.’’ And: Q: Is Google male or female? A: Female, because it doesn’t let you finish a sentence before making a suggestion. (or as my son suggested; it always has lots of opinions but none of them are right.)

Have a great week.
